Ok, I haven't disappeared off the face of the earth, I promise. I've just been. . . busy, that's all. Busy doing a whole lot of nothing.
Coupled with working retail during the holidays. Yep, THAT was fun.
So, a quick rundown of my life in the last three weeks.
Blaine had a un X-rayable ear plug in his stomach, which caused him to lose a half a pound in about three weeks, which is a lot for a ferret. I finally took him to see a vet again (foregoing the emergency routine and scheduling an appointment this time) and a little Boriam and Xrays confirmed that there was something in there.
Surgery was necessary to save the ferret. These are turning into some expensive pets. *sighs* Blaine is recovering well. But he's looking a bit scruffy and his shaved belly is kind of interesting. Abby, meanwhile, is really fat and fluffy now.
I am now floating around my store, working a lot in music lately, which I find interesting that I'm progressively becoming a music associate. The elusive Tech N9ne and Nickelback Cds that our system says are in our store that I cannot find do plague me however.
Christmas was nice. I'll post about it in its own post.
There has been snow on and off again, but the mountains have been open for nearly a month now. And I haven't gone snowboarding once. . .
I think I can attribute this to having nobody to go with me. *sighs again*

Blogger in Beta!
So Blogger has finally decided to add labels to posts. I think this is pretty nifty because I've been wanting labels for my posts for a while now, as it helps when one wants to go back and review them for whatever reason. However, because I do my own HTML and don't use Blogger's ready made formats for my blog posts, I don't know how to do the formatting to get it done.
Meanwhile, I'm finally done with school for this quarter. And I have an entire month before I have to go back. This is freakin' sweet! So for the next month, I can just work my butt off and go snowboarding every chance I get.
I haven't gone once this season yet, and the mountain has been open for three weeks. I don't know what's come over me.
Oh yeah, its called School and Work taking up my weekends and prime snowboarding time. I'm going for the first time this season on Thursday.
And I'm taking a break from Horseback Riding for now. Haven't had lessons in three weeks. I've gotten to this point where I need to be riding much more then I currently am to make it worth my while.
PS - the Blogger overhaul complete with Labels continues, and is a slow process, but I'm enjoying the results thus far!

Sports of Choice
I had another Dressage lesson today. This is going to be great for my butt when its all said and done. Now I do private lessons every Thursday, (and possibly going to do group lessons on non-drill Saturdays in Western Pleasure) and I think I'll be doing them into December, until Snowboarding proceeds to take up most of my time.
Speaking of which, the Ski Swap is this weekend. I'll be off to buy a helmet for the season, in case I faceplant into any more trees, or have any more mysterious Memory Loss Episodes.
Its been chilly lately, so I'm hoping it will be a kick butt winter season.
Meanwhile, I keep saying this but I need to just break down and do it. I have to start running! *bleh!* Only because my last PT test was way to close for comfort.

Almost Moved
So, I've been a wee bit quiet over the last couple of weeks.
Not for any particular reason, other then I finally moved off the cot in my parent's basement to a couch in my brother's house. Sorting through this massload of crap I own trying to find a place to stick it is getting a wee bit taxing, but today should be the last day I make a trek over to the parent's to get the last of my stuff. This would include my surviving fish Clark.
In other areas, I've been working at getting into school, dealing with paying for it, and budgeting out my life for the next three years, I've just been really distracted from blogging.
So, the latest news in my life. . .
Pig Out in the Park has been going on for the last six days, today is the last day it's running and I think some of my family is going to get together and take advantage of it on its final day. At least, that's the plan. I've already gone by there twice this last week.
I'm looking at adopting a dog. Yes, pet angst. My specifics is one that's not too yippy, about medium sized, calm but willing to run with me as I'm going to be using it for a running buddy. They've got about three centers here where I can go check out dogs, I've also been checking out Petfinders, I think I might use them as a source. Not sure when I'm going to get the dog, hopefully soon. First I need to get settled in however.

Status Post
Drill weekend has once again come and gone. . . the last drill at that drill hall until September at least.
My life seems to be coming together a little better lately, I've gotten a clearer idea of what I'm planning to do and where my life is going.
And I've got a week left until Yellowstone. Hallelujah.
In fact, this whole week will be a lot of working to get ready for my summer job, which in a lot of ways I feel will be a summer vacation :)
School this fall, army and my summer job. Right now, this appears to be the top focus of my life. It feels good.

Good Times
So, work is back on. Go back next week and help shift the entire book section.
I'm just excited to get back to work.
In other news, came over to the parent's place and ended up spending the afternoon with my mom as she shopped around for an external Hard Drive and a new camera, as we dropped her other camera yesterday when she was taking pictures of things to sell on eBay. When we took it in, they took a quick look at it and deduced that it had broke in half. Or something. Something not good anyway.
So, External Harddrive, eBay, cameras, yes, I feel like I'm back at home.
Now I'm moving onto Gargoyles, the animated series. Good times.
I'm trying to get Creature updated again too.

Home Free!
The army is done. I just have to clear hand reciepts at my home unit, request for a transfer to the IRR (inactive ready reserve), and then its home free, via car ride with the family.
These last couple weeks consisted of a lot of hurry up and do nothing. They could have easily gotten us through this process in four days, but they chose to spread it over eleven. A lot of days consisted of doing one thing and then we had the rest of the day off to go to the mall and. . . walk around and gawk at how easy we've had it for the last year.
Anyway, I will be home tonight. Its kind of strange to think that these people I've been hanging out with for the last year I may very well never see again. . . and with a few exceptions, I'm totally fine with that.
Well, now I get to continue on with my life and manage my money so I don't go into debt. First things first, I need a car.

Extra Curricular Plans for this Week
Note: I posted about this earlier, and then my internet connection promptly up and died, which by the way, is one of the reasons why I haven't been posting to this thing lately.
I got talked into doing Karaoke tonight. This should be interesting.
I guess I'll take my camera and get a shot of me singing. I have a video camera that I bought that I haven't used once however.
Added Note: Did Karaoke tonight, had a flippen' blast! That is now one of the main things I get to do everynight week, or every other week, maybe, from this point on.
Video to follow. I promise. Then you can hear me sing, I sang four songs in all, When I'm Gone By 3 Doors Down, Disease by Matchbox 20, Don't Speak by No Doubt, and a duet to Picture by Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow, to which I might add, I sucked majorly so, but had a lot of fun. I got videos off all, and I will snibbits from each
I think I'll take that with me tomorrow to the Lit concert. Yeah, a band with some name recognition has come to sing for the troops in the balkans. They have automatically assumed a level of ultra coolness in my eyes. I will give the laydown on Lit tomorrow night, or Tuesday morning, depending on how out of it I am.
Also, my Gee came in. For Kajukenbo. I'm taking my camera with me on Tuesday and I'll get some pictures of me doing some Roundhouse Kicks in the proper attire.
In other plans that have been eating at my free time, I've gotten to a point where I'm actually updating regularly with my Comic. Mt Lubojan (commonly referred to as Big Duke) has made a candid appearance within it. This is the mountain we see every day to the South of Camp Bondsteel. It really is a beautiful mountain.
I plan on going on the DANCON road march next Sunday. However, I've been tasked with Driver's Duty, and now i have to find somebody to take over Drivers Duty over so I could go on a 25K road march sponsored by the Danes instead. There will be pictures, and I will post about that, and I'll probably make use out of my neglected Milblog once again.
And the latest on the iPod, because several people have asked about it.
It works now. I threatened it, and it has since behaved. It hasn't paused on me once today and I've been listening to it practically all day too. It has been a good little iPod, I just wish it would be a bit more random in its song selection.
Note: As soon as I typed this, it started scratching up songs and pausing once again. But I don't know if it was becuase it was out of juice or not. Is plugged in and juicing up batteries as we speak
In work related news, this week we plan on having the website up. I just have to get the content from the other sections. And I need to learn some different scripts to put up some pictures.
Those pictures are going to be the end of me. I swear it.
Bulgaria is officially on. I even went shopping for some real normal clothes that don't say KFOR or Army on them. I've bought a lot of T-shirts while I've been here and none of them are wise to wear outside of the United States, and we aren't allowed to wear civilian clothes here.
Which means I got to be a girl and go SHOPPING for real clothes!!!
When shopping for clothes makes me excited, something's going on. Or I'm just getting burned out on Camouflage, Combat Boots and PTs.
Something obviously.
